The Closet Alchemy Challenge
Closet Alchemy is about transforming your closet to reflect the person you are now
The Style Edit: Closet Alchemy is not about trends.
It’s not about buying anything new.
It’s not about getting it “right.”
It’s about noticing.
Noticing what you reach for.
What you avoid.
What you’ve outgrown.
What you’re still holding onto.
Because our closets are rarely just closets.
They hold versions of us.
The one who needed to be appropriate.
The one who learned to stay small.
The one who was navigating, adapting, surviving.
I realized this in my own closet this past year.
Actually, what I was looking at was only half of it.
The other half… was full of ghosts.
When I opened the doors, I was greeted by former versions of myself.
Clothes that once made sense.
Clothes that belonged to seasons I had already moved through.
And something about that didn’t feel authentic anymore.
So I did what I now think of as two full Closet Alchemy clean-outs.
Not rushed. Not forced.
Just honest.
What I see now when I open my closet feels different.
It feels like being surrounded by friends—both old and new.
Pieces that support me.
Pieces that reflect who I am now.
There is nothing in my closet that I don’t love and feel good in.
And that shift?
The Style Edit: Closet Alchemy Challenge is a free 16-day invitation to explore the relationship between what you wear and who you’re becoming.
Through simple, reflective, and sometimes humorous prompts, you’ll begin to notice what your closet is holding, what feels aligned, what feels outdated, and what may be ready to shift.
This isn’t about trends or shopping.
It’s about authenticity, identity, and quiet transformation.
